Ken Babstock, Elisa Biagini, and Sandeep Parmar have been named to the 2027 Griffin Poetry Prize jury.

The Griffin Poetry Prize has announced the trio of poets who will form the jury for the 2027 prize.

Canadian poet and Griffin Poetry Prize winner Ken Babstock is joined on the jury by Italian poet and translator Elisa Biagini and English poet and critic Sandeep Parmar.

In 2027, in addition to the $130,000 International Poetry Prize that was created when the Canadian and international Griffin prizes were merged in 2022, the Griffin will also be reinstating the $65,000 Canadian Poetry Prize. The decision to reinstate the Canadian prize was made earlier this year based on recommendations from the Canadian poetry community.

Submissions for the 2027 Griffin prizes are open until Dec. 18.
