Kyo Maclear’s Spork chosen for Peel Region’s first Three Communities One Story initiative

Spork

The Libraries of Peel Region have named Spork, a picture book written by Kyo Maclear and illustrated by Isabelle Arsenault, as its first Three Communities One Story community-read title.

Published by Kids Can Press, the 2010 picture book follows a spork (the son of a fork and a spoon) who has a hard time fitting in with the other cutlery because of his unique shape.

Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga libraries are offering related family-friendly programs until May. A free wrap-up party with Maclear is scheduled for June 22 at Brampton Library’s Chinguacousy Branch.
