A new venue celebrating literary arts and storytelling is set to open in late August on Vancouver’s Granville Island.

Upstart & Crow is the brainchild of Zoë Grams, founder of the literary marketing agency ZG Stories, and writer/conservationist Ian Gill, co-founder of the storytelling network Salmon Nation.

The two-storey space will sell books, literary gift packages, book-club subscriptions, and artwork. Once COVID-19 health precautions ease, there are plans for writer residencies, live events, and storytelling workshops.
