The League of Canadian Poets has announced the longlists for its three annual book awards. The winner of each award receives $2,000.

The Gerald Lampert Award honours debut books of poetry, while the Pat Lowther Memorial Award honours poetry collections by women. The Raymond Souster Award honours the best new books of poetry by league members.

The shortlists will be announced later this month, with the winners to be named on May 1.
