Three writers have been named finalists for the 2026 Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour.
The annual $25,000 prize celebrates excellence in Canadian literary humour, and counts among its previous winners Will Ferguson, W.O.Mitchell, Stuart McLean, Mordecai Richler, and last year’s winner, Natalie Sue.
The three shortlisted titles were chosen from a 10-book longlist announced last month.
The finalists are:
- She’s a Lamb by Meredith Hambrock (ECW Press)
- Snap by Susan Nielsen (HarperCollins Publishers)
- Colin Gets Promoted and Dooms the World by Mark Waddell (Viking Canada/PRHC)
The winner will be announced at a gala in Orillia, Ontario, on June 20.
