The winners of the Alberta Book Publishing Awards were announced at a gala ceremony in Calgary on Sept. 14. Lifetime achievement in publishing awards were presented to Douglas Barbour, co-founder of Edmonton’s NeWest Press, and David and Rose Scollard, co-founders of Calgary’s Frontenac House.
A total of 13 categories were presented by the Book Publishers Association of Alberta. The full list of award winners follows:
