Léonicka Valcius has been promoted to literary agent at Transatlantic Agency. Her client list includes Yejide Kilanko, Sonnet L’Abbé, Hadiya Roderique, and Kai Cheng Thom.

Valcius joined the company in 2018 as associate agent. Before joining Transatlantic, she was with Penguin Random House Canada, Scholastic Book Fairs Canada, and HarperCollinsCanada. Valcius was also chair of the board of the FOLD Foundation, which organizes the Festival of Literary Diversity in Brampton, Ontario.
