Alice Burdick

Alice Burdick, the author of five books of poetry and the former co-owner of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, bookshop Lexicon Books, has won a seat on council in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia.

In a questionnaire posted on Saltwire, Burdick praised the area for its thriving arts community and called for more affordable housing and long-term rentals.

Adding to her bibliography, Burdick recently published the cookbook Grandma’s Cookies, Cakes, Pies and Sweets: The Best of Canada’s East Coast with Formac Publishing.
