Ripple Foundation’s 10th annual Kids Write 4 Kids contest open for entries

The 10th annual Kids Write 4 Kids contest held by Ripple Foundation, a national youth education charity, is now open for entries. Young writers in grades 4–8 across Canada are encouraged to submit original stories for the chance of becoming a published author.

The entries will be judged by a panel comprised of authors, editors, and previous winners. Contest winners will have their creative work published in paperback and as an ebook, and will be available for purchase on Amazon, Google Play, iBookstore, and Overdrive. All proceeds from book sales will be donated to the winner’s charity of choice.

“As we celebrate a full decade of our Kids Write 4 Kids creative writing competition, this milestone reminds us of how far the contest has come and the collection of awe-inspiring literary pieces that have come out of it,” Ripple Foundation founder Ivy Wong said in a press release. “We have published 19 books from children across the county since our inception – with record-breaking entries in 2020 and 2021 – and we cannot wait to read this year’s contest entries to find Canada’s next great young writer.”

The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2022, with the winner to be announced in June 2022.
