Ripple Foundation’s annual Kids Write 4 Kids contest open for entries

The annual Kids Write 4 Kids contest held by Ripple Foundation, a national youth education charity, is now open for entries. Young writers in grades 4–8 across Canada are encouraged to submit an original piece of creative writing for the chance of becoming a published author.

The entries will be judged by last year’s winners Alina Xiao and Myah Rathi Litteljohn alongside a panel comprised of Jerry Levy, Tony Weaver, Jr., Nicki Paupreto, Anne Uebbing, Sarena and Sasha Nanua, and Jed Churcher.

“I’m delighted that this incredible line-up of creative minds will be selecting the winner of Kids Write 4 Kids this year,” said Ivy Wong, founder of Ripple Foundation, in the press release. “This group of experts will read through the wealth of stories from the next generation of writing talent across Canada so it’s a fantastic opportunity for any aspiring authors.”

Contest winners will have their creative work published in paperback and as an ebook that will be available for purchase on Amazon, Google Play, Apple’s iBookstore, and Overdrive in summer 2025. All proceeds from book sales will be donated to the winner’s charity of choice.

The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2025.
