The Sunshine Coast Art & Words Festival in Gibsons, B.C., now in its second year, has added an awards program. The Sunshine Coast Writers and Editors Society has inaugurated its first SCWES Book Awards for B.C. authors.

Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories, including one for Sunshine Coast Voices, listed below.

The full list of nominees can be found on the society’s website. The winners will be announced on August 12.

Programming at the festival, which runs August 10–13 at the Gibsons Public Market, includes readings, presentations, and workshops.
