University of Guelph professor Stephen A. Marshall has been named the winner of the 2024 Dartmouth Medal for most outstanding reference work.
Marshall won this year’s prize for his book Hymenoptera: The Natural History & Diversity of Wasps, Ants & Bees (Firefly Books).
The winner was announced on Jan. 20 in Baltimore, Maryland, at the ALA LibLearnX, the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) Book & Media Awards Ceremony.
The Dartmouth Medal was established in 1974 and is awarded by the RUSA, a division of the American Library Association.
