Two Between the Lines titles win Leo Panitch Book Prize

Two books from Between the Lines have been jointly awarded the Leo Panitch Book Prize, which honours the best Canadian book on work and labour studies published in the previous year.

The prize has been awarded by the Canadian Association for Work & Labour Studies annually since 2014.

This year’s winners were Bent out of Shape: Shame, Solidarity, and Women’s Bodies at Work by Karen Messing and Code White: Sounding the Alarm on Violence against Health Care Workers by Margaret M. Keith and James T. Brophy.

“We are very proud that these two books and their authors have received this recognition from CAWLS,” says Between the Lines publicity & promotions manager David Gray-Donald. “Between the Lines has a long tradition of publishing timely and well-researched books about workers and the working class for a general audience. And we don’t plan on stopping any time soon!”

The winners of the Leo Panitch Book Prize are awarded $300 each.
