Five books — four of them published by independent Canadian publishers — have been shortlisted for the 2026 Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing.
The announcement of the deal, finalized on March 2, states the partnership “will enable the publishing house to continue its growth by drawing on the expertise of Quebec-based Bayard Canada.”
The winner of the annual $12,500 prize will be named on April 9.
Session topics will include “more than a trend, a filtered reality, bridging influence to business, and the algorithm made me do it.”
The winners will be announced on May 1 in Regina.
