The Canada Council for the Arts has announced the 14 winners of the 2023 Governor General’s Literary Awards.
The winners were selected from finalists announced last month. Winners receive $25,000, and publishers of the winning titles each receive $3,000 to promote the book.
The winners were chosen by 14 peer assessment groups. This year’s winners are:
Fiction
- Chrysalis by Anuja Varghese (House of Anansi Press)
Poetry

Drama

Nonfiction
