Francesca Ekwuyasi, Carol Bruneau, and Leanne Betasamosake Simpson are among eight Canadian authors whose books have been longlisted for the 2022 Dublin Literary Award.

The longlist of 79 titles was announced on January 31. A shortlist will be announced on March 22, and the winner will be announced on May 19. The panel of judges for this year’s award is composed of writer Sinéad Moriarty, poet and editor Alvin Pang, professor of English Clíona Ní Ríordáin, and writer and scholar Professor Emmanuel Dandaura.
