Naomi Klein longlisted for inaugural Women’s Prize for Non-fiction

The 16 books longlisted for the inaugural Women’s Prize for Non-fiction.

Author Naomi Klein has been longlisted for the inaugural Women’s Prize for Non-fiction.

The £30,000 ($50,900 CAD) award was established by the Women’s Prize Trust in 2023 to honour exceptional nonfiction written by women. Books written by women and published in the U.K. are eligible.

Klein’s Doppelganger: A Trip into the Mirror World (Knopf Canada/Penguin Books in the U.K.) is one of 16 books longlisted for the prize. Part memoir, part reportage, the book explores the dangerous duplicities of our time. This is the second U.K. prize nomination for Doppelganger, which was also longlisted for the Writers’ Prize.

The shortlist for the Women’s Prize for Non-fiction will be announced on March 27, with the winner to be announced on June 13.
