Charlie Foran is stepping down from his role as executive director of the Writers’ Trust of Canada.

Foran assumed the role in January 2020, taking over from Mary Osborne, who held the post for seven years.

In a statement announcing the news last week, Foran said it was a difficult decision to make.

“I will miss everything about the work, the people, and the mission,” he said. “I look forward to working with my successor during the transition. ”

The board of the organization has established a search committee and will be meeting with prospective candidates over the summer.
