2022 Alberta Book Publishing Awards shortlists announced

The shortlists for the 2022 Alberta Book Publishing Awards have been announced by the Book Publishers Association of Alberta (BPAA).

The renamed Douglas Barbour Award for Speculative Fiction (formerly the Speculative Fiction Book of the Year Award) will be awarded for the first time this year.

In addition to the winners in the categories listed below, the Children’s & Young Adult Book of the Year, Emerging Publisher of the Year Award, and Lifetime Achievement in Publishing Award will also be revealed at the awards gala.

The gala reception, which is open to the public, will take place in Calgary on September 16.
